A true story regarding the counterculture youth revolution that emerged in the United States during the late 60s and early 70s. During this era, many young people rejected the social norms and religious expectations of the day. Instead, they experimented with psychedelic drugs and Eastern mysticism. Sexual freedom and expression were also marked in this era. No one expected that out of the Hippie Movement would emerge one of the greatest spiritual awakenings in American history.

This movement began in southern California with the forerunners characterized in this movie. One of the main Characters, Greg Lowrey, was looking for what most are still looking for today– significance, acceptance, and fulfillment. Unable to find meaning  in the culture, Greg and the youth of that time, turned to other pursuits which also failed to satisfy what they were looking for. Meaning comes out of a relationship with Jesus When we understand his design in our lives, we can better see our purpose. Walking with purpose gives us a sense of meaning.

We, like Greg, were so broken and empty. Jesus comes to us and says give me your life and I’ll restore you to what you were created to be. If we accept, He takes possession of our heart and begins the transformation process of every area of our life. He is the only one who can!  Don’t believe the deception that anything else can bring you authentic love and meaning.
