BIG IDEA

The miracle inside us is not coming from the outside—it is already inside you. God is actively working within every believer, empowering, strengthening, and producing both the desire and the ability to fulfill His purpose. We are not waiting for God to move; we are learning to activate by faith what He has already placed within us.

Key Scriptures

Philippians 2:12–13 – Work out your own salvation, for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

1 John 4:4 – Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

Ephesians 3:14–20 – Strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man… according to the power that works in us.

Galatians 5:6 – Faith works by love.

1 John 2:20, 27 – You have an anointing from the Holy One… His anointing abides in you.

Unpacking the Message

In The Miracle Inside Us, Bishop Keith Butler emphasized that many believers live “outside-minded” rather than “inside-minded,” constantly looking for God to move externally while ignoring the power already at work within them.

From the moment of salvation, God began working inside us. Philippians 2 teaches that we are to “work out” what God has already worked in. Deliverance, strength, wisdom, and purpose are not distant realities—they are developing from within through the Spirit’s power.

God’s power operates according to the power working in us. Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that the manifestation of God’s ability in our lives flows through what is already active on the inside. Faith is what activates that power.

The Holy Spirit strengthens us in the “inner man.” We are rooted and grounded in Him. The anointing abides in us. We are not spiritually empty people trying to get filled—we are Spirit-filled believers learning to live from the inside out.

Faith and love work together. Faith activates what God has placed inside, but faith functions properly only when we walk in love. When we forgive, value others, and choose love, our faith operates effectively.

The miracle is already present. The key is learning to cooperate with it.

Questions for Personal Reflection

Have I been more focused on what I need God to do around me instead of recognizing what He is doing within me?

In what areas do I need to “work out” what God has already placed inside me?

Are my words and thoughts reflecting confidence in the greater One who lives in me?

Is my faith functioning through love, or is unforgiveness limiting it?

What stood out to you about God working inside believers?

How would you explain “working out your own deliverance” in practical terms?

Application

This week, live from the inside out:

Change how you speak — Let your words reflect that God’s power is already working in you.

Take authority over thoughts — Speak to negative or fearful thoughts and command the enemy to leave in Jesus’ name.

Stop waiting for external signs — Act in faith, knowing God is already at work within you.

Walk in love intentionally — Forgive quickly, treat people as valuable, and remove anything that hinders faith.

Stir up what’s inside — Spend time praying, declaring Scripture, and meditating on who you are in Christ.

Choose one area where you have been waiting on the outside—and begin activating what God has already placed within you.

Group Prayer

Father, thank You that You are at work within us. Strengthen us with might in our inner man and help us to live from the power You have already placed within us. Teach us to walk by faith and to let that faith operate through love. Help us to take authority over our thoughts and to rely on Your Spirit daily. We trust the greater One who lives in us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
