He’s the Same God—Jesus is the same powerful God yesterday, today, and forever. He is not distant or passive, but actively transforming, delivering, healing, and empowering those who know Him personally. God invites us out of secondhand knowledge into a real, firsthand relationship with Him.

Unpacking the Message
Pastor Tracy emphasized that many people relate to God through secondhand knowledge rather than personal experience. We often form our understanding of Him through what others say, cultural ideas, or past experiences, instead of encountering Him for ourselves. True faith, however, is built through relationship—not religion. From the beginning, God desired closeness with humanity, walking with them and being known by them. Jesus modeled this through His deeply relational ministry, inviting people not just to follow Him, but to truly know Him.
Jesus is still the same today:
Relational – He invites us into closeness where transformation happens. It’s in daily connection with Him that He reveals truth, corrects our perspective, and shapes our lives. Through this relationship, He also works through His body, the church, to encourage, strengthen, and develop us.
Deliverer – Like the woman at the well, Jesus frees us from shame, false identity, and past brokenness. He doesn’t avoid our story—He meets us in it, restores our worth, and gives us a new identity and purpose.
Healer – Jesus continues to heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually. His power is not limited to the past; it is active and available today for those who believe and trust Him.
Powerful God – The same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in believers now. This power equips us to overcome, to live transformed lives, and to walk boldly in God’s purpose.
The message calls us to move beyond knowing about Jesus to truly knowing Him. As we draw near, we begin to experience His presence, His power, and His transformation in real and tangible ways—allowing Him to work in and through our lives.
