Faith begins with perspective. How we see Jesus determines how we respond to Him, and our response reveals what we truly believe. Faith does not deny the reality of problems, but it changes the direction of our lives by leading us to trust Jesus and act on that trust.
Key Scriptures
Isaiah 53:5 – Jesus bore our sin and sickness, bringing peace and healing.

Acts 3:1–8, 16 – A lame man is healed through faith in the name of Jesus.
Mark 5:25–34 – The woman with the issue of blood touches Jesus and is healed.
Mark 10:46–52 – Bartimaeus cries out persistently and receives his sight.
Luke 7:37–38, 47–48, 50 – A sinful woman encounters Jesus and experiences forgiveness and peace.
Unpacking the Message
Pastor Josi taught that faith begins with perspective. The way we see Jesus shapes how we approach Him and how we respond in moments of need. Our behavior is often driven not by our circumstances, but by our perspective of who Jesus is and what He can do.
Throughout Scripture, we see examples of people whose faith led them to action. The friends of the paralytic refused to let obstacles stop them and lowered their friend through a roof to reach Jesus. In Acts, the lame man at the temple was healed through faith in the name of Jesus. The woman with the issue of blood stepped beyond fear and reached out to touch Jesus, believing she would be healed. Bartimaeus cried out loudly for Jesus despite people trying to silence him. And the woman who anointed Jesus’ feet approached Him boldly despite her past.
In each story, faith was not passive—it was active. Their faith pushed them past resistance, fear, and social pressure. They spoke it, acted on it, and pursued Jesus. As a result, Jesus publicly affirmed their faith and brought healing, restoration, forgiveness, and wholeness.
